Lighthouse Pro XLS Software Upgrades


WARNING: Please read carefully before attempting a firmware upgrade. Failure to follow these instructions can result in a non-functional Lighthouse.

  1. Firmware upgrades cannot be performed across the internet. You must run the upgrade program from a Windows PC connected to your local LAN.
  2. We highly recommend that you use a hardwired Ethernet connection during the upgrade procedure. A wireless connection may drop out during the firmware transfer resulting in corrupted data.
  3. A firmware upgrade will reset your options. Starting with version 1.8, Probe Calibration and Outlet Settings will not be affected. You will need to set the clock, enter your email data, and set options/preferences after the upgrade.
  4. Once the upgrade starts, do not unplug your Lighthouse Pro, use the remote, or otherwise disturb the console until the upgrade is complete.

Upgrade Instructions
After the upgrade, do the following:
  • Use the remote and press the Network button to restore your Static IP (if needed).
  • Go to the Set Options Web page and set the clock and any other options you need.
  • Go to Alarms/Limits Web page and set any limits + your email address.

LHPRO_20.zip (363K) Bug Fixes:
1) Settings Web page had outlet numbers displayed wrong.
2) Cycle Timer Run Time and Contacts setup did not work correctly when set from the Setup Outlets Web page.
3) Various cosmetic issues in Outlet Setup, Set Options, and Alarms/Limits page.

New Features:
1) Feed Time, Maintenance Timeout, and Manual Timeout can now be specified up to 24 hours.
2) Minor performance enhancements in Web page download times, and IR remote keypress response.

Lighthouse Pro Firmware: Version 1.9
Release Date: Oct. 29, 2008
NOTE: Version 1.8 and earlier had a firmware upgrading problem if the IP address had been changed since the last boot. If you changed the IP address recently, we recommend that you unplug the controller for 5 seconds then plug back in again prior to upgrading.
LHPRO_19.zip (338K) Bug Fixes:
1) ORP Controller setup from the Outlet web page now works properly.
2) The far right sample in the pH and ORP graphs contained the wrong data.
3) Time out for Manual and Maintenance modes of > 3 hours caused some minor problems.
4) Last water change date was displayed as current date.
5) Daily water change reminder email was being sent too frequently.
6) Setting water change interval to 0 days caused erroneous error messages.
7) Cycle Timer did not function properly on certain hourly settings.
8) Controller would occasionally reboot if Outlet Titles were greater than 12 characters.
9) Contact control was skipped during heavy web page access.
New Features:
1) Graphs have been completely revamped with a 2-fold increase in resolution.
2) The time can now be set automatically from the computer's clock.
2) Manual outlets can now be activated using the Resume All button on the remote.
3) Messages now toggle on the last line, and no longer block the display line.
4) Lighting On/Off times can be set to the same values, creating an always-on "auto" outlet.
