MCU Research was founded by Joe Jaworski, an electronics engineer with 25+ years experience in electrical engineering and marine reef keeping. For years, Mr. Jaworski designed aquarium controllers for his own tanks, mostly because commercial units were too expensive and did not offer some of the basic features needed. Variations of the Lighthouse Controller have been in constant use on several reef and marine aquarium setups since 2001, before it was decided to take this product to market. Mr. Jaworski believes that reliability is the number one factor in any aquarium controller, because the lives of the inhabitants depend on it.

MCU Research is a family owned and operated business. We still believe that reliable, high quality, and affordable products can be made in the USA. We also know that customer satisfaction is number one, and we are here to support you before and after your purchase. All of our products are assembled and tested in the USA. We do not outsource ANY part of our product to asian or other overseas manufacturers.
